Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Taper and Jointer to join our team at Elysejae Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the precise application of joint tape and compound, ensuring the seamless finishing of drywall surfaces. The Taper and Jointer will play a crucial role in achieving high-quality finishes for a variety of construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Taping and Jointing:  Competently apply joint tape and compound to seams and joints, creating smooth and even surfaces ready for painting or wall covering.

Texturing: Execute various texturing techniques to achieve customized finishes according to project requirements and client preferences.

Repair and Maintenance: Conduct expert repairs and maintenance on existing drywall surfaces, ensuring the longevity and pristine condition of finishes.

Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections to verify the quality and precision of tapering and jointing work, making necessary adjustments as needed.

Collaboration: Work closely with other construction professionals, including dry liners, painters, and project managers, to coordinate and execute finishing aspects of projects seamlessly.

Adherence to Specifications: Follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise execution of tapering and jointing installations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Taper and Jointer in the construction industry.

Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in the application of joint tape, compound, and various texturing techniques.

Repair Skills: Experience in conducting repairs and maintenance on existing drywall surfaces.

Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail to achieve high-quality finishes and meet project specifications.

Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with other construction professionals and work as part of a team.

Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with team members and project stakeholders.

Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to new techniques and materials in the ever-evolving field of tapering and jointing.

Education:

GCSE or equivalent.

Certification or training in tapering and jointing is preferred.
